I wrote this book to provide an example of what happens when parents don't place their children's needs first. In It Won't Happen Again, that's exactly what happens. Single parents don't always stay single for very long, and when they start bringing strangers into the home, the environment changes. It seems like Mom or Dad has to always have someone in their life. In this case it's the mother who re-marries and brings a non-biological male to live in the house.
