Dogs Are The New Kid

It took me a while to realize how true this statement is....that is for me personally. I had noticed from a distance how dogs began to show up everywhere over the last ten years or so. But then I became one of those pet parents or in my case it was my grandDog that moved in with me. And yes within a matter of months, she was like my kid. I grew up during a time that dogs stayed outside. So this was a new experience to have one not only living inside my house full time, but sleeping next to me just a few feet away. Then everywhere I went she went, like we were joined at the hip. I guess this is where "companion" and "man's best friend" comes to mind.
